Workshop on Jainism held by Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Kolkata

A workshop on Jainism, titled "Jain Dharmamostu Mangalam," was recently organized by Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Purvanchal Kolkata, under the aegis of All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal.

The event, held at the EZCC Auditorium, featured four series of discussions, with the fourth series taking place in Kolkata. Munishree Jineshkumarji, a disciple of Acharya Shri Mahashramanji, graced the occasion with his presence.

Several dignitaries, including National President Neelam Sethia, Chief Trustee Pushpa Bengani, Senior Vice President Sarita Daga, Publicity Minister Sarita Barlota, and Kanya Mandal in-charge Archana Bhandari, attended the program. Noted Jain scholar Dr. Manju Nahata was also present. Additionally, Vishwa Bharti, Shantiniketan's senior professor Dr. Jagatram Bhattacharya, and Tatva Pracheta Rajul Manot served as chief spokespersons.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of Jainism among the general public and youth. Neelam Sethia emphasized that Jainism has a connection with science, microbiology, and ecology, and is a religion of science. Pushpa Bengani spoke about the organization's efforts to promote the spiritual development of women through courses such as Tatva Pracheta, Tattavagya, Terapanth Darshan, and Jain Scholar.

Sarita Daga stressed the importance of disseminating Jainism to the masses, and Shweta Daklia, President of Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Purvanchal Kolkata, echoed this sentiment. The workshop received a positive response from attendees, who enjoyed learning more about Jainism. The members of Terapanth Mahila Mandal were commended for their role in making the event a success.
